European Union is more and more thinking about young people. And so since 2017 it has been intensively engaged in preparing a new solidarity activity for youngsters – European Solidarity Corps
https://europa.eu/youth/solidarity_en
And we succeeded!
Our organisation is among those very first seven in the Czech Republic to whom projects have been approved in the area of Volunteering Partnerships.
And so what does it mean?
Here again volunteers will come into our town and will spend their time with us at least until 2021.
And where and to whom will they help?
Above all at our “home school”, Partyzánská Primary and Secondary School. In the English classes. And they will share their experience also with the teachers and wide public.
And who is going to help them? Who is going to pay?
The projects, most of its costs related to their accommodation, catering and activities wil be funded by the European Commission. And as for the Erasmus+ programme https://www.naerasmusplus.cz/ Czech National Agency will be administrating the project. https://www.dzs.cz/cz/evropsky-sbor-solidarity/.
So whom can our town expect to arrive?
We all can be looking forward to the arrival of the very first Europan Solidarity Corps volunteer from one of the EU countries. Right now, selection process is taking place and we strongly belive, that, as for the previous years, we will chose the best one!
Have a safe journey, our dear swallow!
(The project will be made by the grant contract no. 2018-1-CZ01-ESC12-059799)
